Searchable Grants Map Instructions

The Searchable Grants Map has a number of features that allow you to search, pan, zoom and query information about the Sierra Nevada Conservancy's (SNC) awarded grants as well as identify the Area Representatives and Area Managers for each of the 22 Counties in the SNC Region. This map guide illustrates where the different tools are located in the map. Click on each tool below for greater detail.

Search

The "Search" tool allows you to search our grants by various categories. In order to use this tool, click on the magnifying glass as shown below, and the Search Grants window will open allowing you to search for grants by Title, Project Category/Type, Funding Amount, County, Project Status, Grantee Type, and or Project Result. Simply click on the arrow to the right of the category and make your selection, the Search Grants window will open allowing you to choose by category, and the grants that were selected will be highlighted on the map. After you make your selection, you can click on any one of the grants, and a pop-up window will open that provides details about each grant including a hyperlink to the grant application or final report.

Zoom

If you want to search by zooming into a particular area, you can use the following Zoom tool as shown below to zoom in and out, and you can use your mouse to pan directionally.

Home

The Home Tool returns the map to the Sierra Nevada Conservancy's Region.

Zoom to My Current Location

The Zoom to My Current Location tool will zoom to the location that your IP address reports as your geographic location.

Details

The Details tool provides the metadata or reference information about the map including it's purpose, description and data origin.

Print

The Print tool allows you to create a PDF document in Letter or Tabloid size that you can print out or share digitally. You can add a title to your printed map as well.

Search by Address or Location

The Search by Address or Location tool allows you to enter an address, city, or place name and the map will zoom to that location.

Open Attribute Table

The Open Attribute Table tool, which is found in the bottom center of the application, allows you to open and then query the spreadsheets of data that are associated with each layer in the mapping application. From here, you can export the data records associated with each table or spreadsheet as a CSV file format, which is easily readable in Microsoft Excel.
